N2 - The paper presents a new approach to modeling elastohydrodynamic contacts with degrading lubricants. Considered lubricants are diluted solutions of polymer molecules with linear structure. The problem is formulated mathematically and analyzed numerically. A parametric analysis of the problem is performed.
