About

Dr. Kanchi’s current research topic includes localization of wireless sensor networks using distance information
between networks. Various algorithms including centralized and distributed algorithms are being developed
for localization. She is also currently working on using deep learning for analysis of big data.

Dr. Kanchi believes that every student can succeed with hard work and by employing learning techniques that
best suits the student. To help a student succeed, it is important that the teacher be knowledgeable in the
subject matter, well organized and create lesson plans that facilitate different varieties of learners. She
ensures that there is plenty of opportunity for the students to solve problems and ask questions in the
classroom. Dr. Kanchi also believes that students learn better by problem solving and therefore she provides a
lot of opportunity for students to turn in homework and assignments. Finally, she believes in being available to
students both on email and in person anytime they need help with homework or assignments. She believes
that every communication with the students must be clear and consistent.
