About

Dr. Adam Salminen is a professor of Mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Ohio State University in 2005. His original research interests are in the modular representation theory of finite groups. He has since worked on research on in homomorphic and residual properties of commutative rings and their modules.
Recently his interests have focused on STEM education. In particular, he was the co-lead on two projects focused on cohort building and computation in the sciences. These projects were funded by $1.7 million from the NSF S-STEM program.
At the University of Evansville, he was awarded the 2017 Sadell and Sydney Berger award for service to the University. In 2018, he also received the Dean’s Teaching award for the University of Evansville College of Arts and Science.
